Barbershack Update from Las Vegas, Nevada - 2005

Chillin' with the Family

Ok, the gang from Rhode Island has once again ventured to Las Vegas, Nevada.  I guess this is one of the few times that Brian gets to update the family website.  Sarah has taken quite a liking to Ann, Vicki, & Ricky.  However, Uncle Alan is another story, hopefully by the end of the week she will be ok with him.  Sarah - Alan update - ok, it only took a few days, but Sarah has warmed up to Uncle Alan.

Also we have had the opportunity to start the terrorizing two of the youngest two in Las Vegas..... Ricky & Sarah.  Oh what fun they are having together.  Go ahead and take a look at look at some of the activities. Look here for Sarah eating chips, here for Page I of photos, and here for Page II of photos..

U.S. Open of Supercross

While here in Las Vegas, we attended the U.S. Open of Supercross at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.  What an excellent show.  We were able to take our camera in with us and were able to get some reasonably good pictures.  Click here for some pictures.

The night of the U.S. Open of Supercross was also the Homecoming dance for Eldorado High School.  Vicki & Frankie were dressed to impress and yes, we were impressed.  Just watch out for the pasta sauce Frankie :)  Also, a few pics of Frankie from July.

Lake Havasu City, Arizona (London Bridge)

On Monday, October 9, 2005, Brian, Donna & Sarah took a road trip with our compact rental car (Chrysler 300M).  It is always fun to get out and drive outside of the city.  We had fun walking around the small English "city" down by the bridge.  Thanks Alan and  Ann for the suggestion !

Mojave National Preserve / Joshua Tree National Park

Ok, we decided to take another road trip while here in Vegas.  So we pulled out the maps and dialed-up the internet (we all remember the days before broadband right ?) to see what was in a 3-4 hour drive.  We found a walking tour of a ranch in Joshua Tree National Park and signed us up.  Here are some of the pictures from the drive down through the Mojave National Preserve and of Sarah playing in the Hotel.  (Where I got connected to some Hi-Speed internet to post these items).  I will get some updated photos from the guided walking tour as soon as possible.

As the week progresses, we (I) will try to update with more pictures as they are taken.
